Full basement gut and renovation. Engineered wall repair of the basement wall was done due to hydraulic pressure on the main basement below the ground wall.

Once repaired, the home received a new 200 amp service, a new electric HVAC system, oil tank removal, and a new primary suite with a bath and walk-in closet. There is a new half bath, art corner, and living room. Staircase was created from a design idea they had found. We repurposed the original staircase and added structural support for today’s building standards. Open poplar balusters from the ceiling allowed, along with opening up the kitchen wall from upstairs, to feel more open throughout the home and joining of the spaces.
An accent wall was painted, and wood strips were added for ambiance. The art area was created without cabinetry so that the clients could design and build the space as needed in the future. Beams were added to create the laundry area underneath the staircase. A plumbing manifold was created to allow for a phase 2 renovation of the main level in the future.
The primary suite bathroom featured a zero-entry tile shower, frameless glass entry, Schluter heated floors, a lighted LED mirror, a bath fan/heater combo, and a bamboo vanity. The clients designed all the tiles, including random-layout hex tiles in the shower.
